It is the senior sections in Scouting for young men (Rovers), typically aged 15+ to 25 years. Both focus on leadership, community service, outdoor activities, and personal development. A Rover Aspirant can be invested as a Rover only after completion of fifteen years of age and should have worked for three months for Pravesh Test. A Rover Aspirant who had been a Scout or who on admission as Rover Aspirant passes Pravesh Badge test as laid down for Scout shall wear uniform as a Rover. Advancement of Rovers PRAVESH (Entry Stage) The Pravesh Badge is the first step in a Rover’s journey. It marks entry into the senior-most section of Scouting and focuses on building leadership, discipline, and a spirit of service. What are the requirements to earn the Pravesh Badge? To earn the Pravesh Badge, a Rover must: Understand and recite the Rover Promise and Law Know the significance of the Bharat Scouts & Guides Flag and the World Scout Flag Sing the National Anthem and the Rover Song Participate in a minimum six-hour community service project Perform daily good turns and maintain a record What does the Pravesh Badge symbolize? NIPUN (Proficiency Stage) The Nipun Badge represents a Rover’s advancement in skills, leadership, and service, marking an important stage in their Scouting journey. To earn the Nipun Badge, a Rover must: Demonstrate proficiency in first aid and survival skills Participate in a night hike and submit a report Organize a community service project and provide a detailed report Earn at least two proficiency badges Take part in discussions on the history of Scouting What does Nipun symbolize?
