🏕️ 17th National Jamboree – Bharat Scouts & Guides The 17th National Jamboree of the Bharat Scouts and Guides was held from 29th December 2016 to 4th January 2017 in Mysuru, Karnataka. This grand national event brought together Scouts, Guides, Rovers, and Rangers from across India and neighboring countries for a week of learning, adventure, and unity. The Jamboree was officially inaugurated by the then President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, who graced the occasion and inspired participants with his presence. 🌍 Participation & Scale Over 27,000 participants attended the Jamboree Representation from all 29 Indian States Participation from SAARC countries One of the largest gatherings in the history of Bharat Scouts and Guides 🎯 Highlights of the Jamboree The event featured a wide range of engaging and skill-building activities: Adventure Activities – Challenging outdoor and team-based experiences Fun-Based Activities – Interactive sessions promoting creativity and teamwork Bharat Darshan – Showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity Pageant Show & Folk Dance – Cultural performances from different regions March Past – Display of discipline and unity Scouting Competitions, including: Scouting Knowledge First Aid Mapping & Navigation Pioneering Skills 🌟 Significance The 17th National Jamboree served as a platform to promote: National integration and cultural exchange Leadership and teamwork Skill development and practical learning Friendship across states and nations 🎉 Legacy This Jamboree remains a milestone event, remembered for its scale, organization, and impact on thousands of young participants.
